Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice HiMod! I'm building the Team bike next Month, when my frame comes, also with Red. Wish I had the Zipps, that's awesome.

Just a note, if that's the Aheadset then putting spacers above the stem is a no-no per the Cannondale docs.

Hum,
THis is my racing bike that recently I bought.
It was super cheap and came with 7speed but I upgraded my extra parts.
Yes, I'll use different wheel set.

My ride: 2007 (I think) Cannondale Six13 Pro, with full nine speed Dura Ace, except the wheels/hubs:

I didn't get a chance to get any good pictures of my Cannondale, so you will have to see my messy living room; good thing the 'Dale plays nicely with others:

I forget to take pics of the finished build because I always go riding as soon as I'm finished.

CAAD9-5
Got it cheap and sold off all the 105 stuff, moved the Rival over from my cross bike.
Ultegra Hubs and HED C2 rims. Opev Pave 24c tires.
1st road bike after having a couple cyclocross bikes for the past 5 years- definitely noticing the improvement in geo/handling, and the lighter weight.

I figure I would bump this thread since I made some changes to mine and I've been so happy with it. So far I've added in new Toupe, Easton EA90 wheels and Conti GP 4000 tires, Garmin 305, Microtex bar tape. Right after I finish up the MS150 I will be cutting the steerer and removing the spacers.

Some future changes I've planned:
1. Powertap - all pennies will be saved until I can buy one.
2. New bar/ stem / seatpost.
3. New fork with a carbon steerer if possible.
4. Maybe swapping out the groupset if I can find a killer deal someday. If I ride 105 for the rest of my life I could die a happy man.

Well, I have only posted the new toy to like 4 threads so far, so I am going to make this number 5

Campy Record all around, 2009 Hi-Mod. Got it for an absolute steal. Have since put some Topolinos on there for a light wheel that will support my large self.

Love the new bikes. Caad9 (gotta get me one this year) and the SuperSix's. Just reminded me that my team frame isn't here yet. Argh!

btw, what are you guys doing to those things? My Synapse was never that shiny.

Nice bike lost1, I've got a CAAD 9-4 on the way. I finally pulled the trigger and am replacing my 20 year old Italian steel. Just to be different, I went for the "racer red" though, adding to long line of red road bikes.
Any idea what the weight is?
