Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

@Velo-Tut ... I would go for the Fizik Candy Cane bar tape (red/white). Definitely a nice bike you have, yes!

Cannondale CAD3 Saeco Custom 10's Ultegra

This was my winter project, now riding full time. Basically stripped the components and replaced with Ultegra 6600G except the brakes (Tektro new off a Madone), installed a 11-26 10 speed cassette, Bontrager race lite wheels, Selle Italia seat. Every component is new or upgraded, I know I went a bit overboard considering the age of the frame but I just love the frame. This is the quickest and best handling bike I have owned and it gets plenty of attention. And I smile when I pass a bike 4x the dough!

if you are referencing photos off of another site (In some kind of database) use the 'Go Advanced' function in the post and paste the link there.

The fourth from the top is REALLY nice. I would love to see one of these with a modern grouppo.

It's interesting how Cannondale changed the rear dropouts throughout production history. I also don't understand the purpose of "dent" in the chainstays in the early years. Could anyone shed some light on this?

1986 SR500.
With dented chain stays. ^It was to add rigidity to the tube.

Those are Topolino CX 2.0 wheels. I know there will be a bunch of "Hey, what kind of wheels are those?"
