What seatpost is that? I like ritchey stuff and am thinking of an aluminum post for the bike I just ordered but wondering if carbon makes that's much of a difference. The bike is an Evo. If it's unlikely to be significantly more comfortable I'd rather stick with aluminum. I have a zipp aluminum post on my caad and never felt that bike was uncomfortable.

I have to ask ... is there a "proper" position for the crank when taking a photo of the bike?
I've seen consensus with respect to bars, seats, valve stems, but can't settle on the crank position.
BTW, amazing bike. My Caad8 Optimo will hopefully grow up to an SS EVO some day (when I can afford one).
With the earlier discussion about forks, I have to say that I prefer the C'Dale logo where it's completely on the
fork, rather than split over the head tube.
Bianchi10, hows the new job working out?

The "acceptable" positions are 3 or 6 O' clock or up one of the tubes. I usually prefer 3 O' clock. The new job is amazing! Usual ramp up period is 2-3 weeks, but with my experience i was let go to work on my own after 3 days. Good group of guys and I'm excited to be with them! thanks for asking

Quick update. Got my DA 7900 in. Got a KILLER Deal. Not sure if the alligator ilink cables will work right now because I dont have the liners needed and Fairwheel is out of stock. Will probably just use my shimano Cable housing this time around and will keep an eye out for the liners, then switch them out in a couple months. I hear the DA9000 cables can be difficult to work with.
Finally a black RD instead of the silver Ulterga I had. The black will look so much better with my bike

I just brought home my SS and was removing the warning label that was on the seat post, and was wondering what other labels/stickers/decals everyone has removed? I'm expecting anything that is raised, or anything not part of the paint job/clear coat? How many of you have removed the frame size label, or the number designating your level of build (ie. 5, 4, 3, 2 etc.).
There is a also large warning label on the down tube that is covering part of the 'C' as well as what looks like a serial number label also on the 'C' (what is this label, it says EN XXXXXX and then Cannondale under it, but doesn't match the numbers under the bottom bracket, so it shouldn't be the serial number). How many of these are still on your bikes?
I know I need to post pictures, but I'm waiting on a saddle/stem change as I have temporary ones on there right now after fitting due to the store not having stock of what I needed/wanted.

This!
The only stickers that are still on my cannondale are under the bottom bracket. I also took a photo of those for safe keeping.

And what does the number on the down tube represent? Pictured here... blurred just in case it means something special...

I have no idea on weather...I think I've ridden my Cannondale in the rain 4-5 times total. That tends to happen in Arizona.
I'm not sure on that sticker, I'd have to go look at mine to try to figure it out. I'm sure someone here will probably know.
For the most part, I'm not worried about theft. I never leave my bike unattended except for when its in the garage and if someone steals it from there, then it should be covered under my insurance.

That is an import code sticker, read this from the Cannondale website FAQ:https://support.cannondale.com/hc/en-...e-Registration
Record all your serial number and such as well as some pictures of them and the whole bicycle so you have them for reference. As to the serial number sticker and bar code, it is pretty tough to remove, mine has been in the rain, ice and road grime as well as cleanings and is stuck hard and fast to the frame. I wouldn't remove the serial number or EN code, they are unobtrusive anyway.

As for the EN14781 sticker, it is odd that they called it an import sticker, unless it needs to be present to import. Some research seems to show that it's a sticker stating that it complies with the EN14781 standard which is about safety and testing of components (in this case likely the frame).

I saw a Synapse thrown in a huge pile of snow, locked to a signpost today. Parts of the wheels were deep in the snow. Didn't look as though snow fell around it, it was shoved in there. Was a white one, looks just like yours, except white. I was shocked to see the bike treated that way.

I'm amazed at how many Cannondales I see in disrepair. Some look like they are CAAD? R500 etc with the cogs and chain totally rusted.
I'm amazed at how many cheap bikes are treated. Used bikes off Craigslist are still costly. Maybe throwing away a few hundred everytime bike is destroyed is nothing for some, but then why are they riding such bikes? Seem they couldn't afford a better one so why destroy it? I don't get it.
