Gilles Berthoud carbon fenders
Functional, or primarily bling?
I'm considering some for my fixed gear, which isn't nearly as nice as this, but every time I see the price I get a little woozy. I tried Race Blades and hated them (shifted around too much, not enough coverage). My options are pretty limited by the tight geometry of the bike, and while I'm not exactly a weight weenie I'd love to keep it under 20 pounds.
I'm also thinking of doing these on my road bike instead, but its geometry is even tighter. I figured you roadies might be more likely to have experience with these. Just wondering if they actually keep yer butt dry, or if there are similar (and cheaper) options out there for light, non-bulky full fenders.
