Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A Tale Of Two Forks

I hope someone here can help me be decisive and bring this choice to closure. Last week I bought on Ebay an Ouzo Comp fork uncut to help raise my stem height to a 2" drop. While in transit I found out the local bike shop had an "at cost sale" on all 2005 bikes for one day only. I ran down to the store just to buy clothes and ended up with a Felt F2C Team bike. Thank goodness I have an approving wife. Anyhow, this bike has the EC70 Easton carbon/aluminum fork. So right away I buy on Ebay an uncut Easton EC70 AL fork. Now I have two brand new aluminum steerer forks uncut and waiting to be installed on this new bike so I can get my 2" drop from the seat. The only problem is, I don't know which to install. From what I've heard most like Ouzo over Easton. But if I go with the Ouzo than the bike looses its original factory choice. Keep in mind Felt now installs Ouzo forks on there 2006 models...go figure. So what would you guys do if you had this choice to make? Thanks in advance.

I would install the one that won't cause problems with your bike's factory warranty
