Boure clothing - feedback?

I'm in the market for some clothing (tights, shorts and booties) and I like that they're made here in the U.S. (BIG plus in my book), and that they guarantee 100% customer satisfaction. The prices seem very reasonable, plus they have a pretty nice sale running through 1/3/05:

I've found some search results here on BF, but not much in-depth, so would appreciate any comments on any of their items.

Thanks in advance!

Can't tell you much about Boure, but I got my first shipment from https://www.velowear.com/ this week and I'm very impressed. They also got some great sale prices going right now. You may want to check them out as well.

- i have ordered from them and have received the goods in good condition... in fact, i used a pair of their shorts today!

- quality build... a tad expensive, but good stuff...

The denizens of the Serotta forum love Boure products.
I haven't used them yet but I might if I can't find any
more Etxe Ondo bibs.

Their Thermo bib tight is interesting; I'd think the stirrups would be a plus to not have a skin gap above the bootie. With tights, I'm not concerned with taking them off during a ride anyway, and have had difficuly closing the zippers on other tights I've tried on lately. My calves aren't exactly bird-like.

Seems a bit pricey!

msheron 01-01-06 02:46 PM

I agree with curt...............seemed rather pricey to me as far as a great deal. I think by browsing their site they are avg. in price of what I have priced in the past. I still shop Performance Bike. They are in my home state and usually shipping takes two days to my house!

I tried on Performance's Tri Flex non-bibs in their store here. Large was impossible, and in size XL, I could just barely get the legs pulled up near my crotch, and couldn't get the zippers closed.

I tried on some PI shorts in Large, and the store staff said I would wear the same size in a PI tight. I ordered PI Amfibs in Large on the red phone. Now that they're here, they have the same tightness in the legs, and I can just barely get the zippers closed. Both of these were too short also (skin gap above the bootie). So an inexpensive deal isn't everything.

I'm 6'1" and 180 and wear 34x32 jeans, so I'm not really outside the norm. As I begin riding regulary again, my legs will only get bigger (and my waist hopefully smaller :) ).

Well, I ordered a pr. of their bibs and their booties yesterday to try out. Spoke with Wade regarding fit and so decided on Large. BTW, I believe he said their prices include free shipping on internet orders.

Again, made in the U.S.A., right there in Durango - Big Plus! I'll let you know how they work out.

I have a pair of Boure Elite tights and they are excellent. Good fit and excellent insulation capability and wind resistance, especially for the weight of the fabric.

The tights arrived today (Elite Thermo w/o chamois). Very well made, and (wait for it) - they FIT me! Nice long legs that are big enough around, plus those stirrups - no more fighting between ankle & crotch; no more bare skin above the bootie. I can tell that a cyclist developed the pattern by how well they fit when in riding position - tried them on the trainer briefly. As long as they're warm out on the road, then I'm a sold customer. Nice to get what you pay for once in a while.

BTW, their Windtex booties are nice too.

Resurrecting this thread as I'm looking to get a pair of custom bib tights from them. I'm sure lots have changed since 2006 (most notably the price). @ $175+25% custom surcharge this better be excellent. I'm also not quite sure about their return policy of custom clothing.

Does anyone have a feedback? Anyone know of a similar company (no minimums) who uses good fabrics?

I've checked out:

Boure
Kucharik
Foxwear

PS
I'm a 27-27.5 inseam with 31 waist. I cannot seem to find anything like this on the market. 10/10 times it's either too small or too long on the inseam.

MT. Borah stuff is pretty nice,

KantoBoy 09-22-14 08:12 PM

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't see any bib tights.

jaxgtr 09-22-14 08:15 PM

hmmmm, I was thinking they had some...I'd send them a message, they are pretty quick at responding

I like Kucharik clothing. USA made, good quality, lots of choices, some innovative items, too.
