1. The fact that it asks you to contact the seller via email to arrange the sale (strictly against eBay policy) should set off all sorts of alarm bells.
2. They ask you not to contact them via "ask this seller a question" because of their inbox being over the quota means this poor guy's account probably got jacked.
3. They ask you to use an escrow service for payment, which is probably a spoofed one.
Looks like scam to me. Report it.

Probably a better thing to do would be to ask the seller if he is selling a bike. Via the "ask a question" option.

anyone notice how many OTHER bikes this guy has up for sale? And that they are all under 'men's magazines' section? My Fraud-o-meter is spinning at gale strength!

It's a complete and total scam. The person listing that auction basically stole the eBay ID through phishing. He's been around for the last several months.
That auction will be de-listed by eBay in the next 5-6 hours, guaranteed.

How can someone "steal" ebay addresses? Is that something the average joe has to worry about happening to their own account??

For the most part if they have your id, then they can hack into your account, once they have done that just change the password and "presto" they have a new eBay account. All they use is a program that basically trys endless combinations of letters, numbers and symbols until it finds the correct combo. You can find these programs everywhere on the Internet, it is not a hard thing to do just time consuming. Just make your password long with capitol and lower-case letters, as well as numbers and you should be fine, not garunteeing anything, but that will make it a lot harder to crack! *Not that I have any expierence with any of this*

Abother tell tale sign, which nobody else has mentioned, the seller offers a "buy it now" price with no buy it now option. They want to leave the least amount of incriminating trails through ebay as possible.

It usually happens when someone receives a spoofed email from eBay, or PayPal, or their bank, or their ISP, or whatever asking them to 're-verify' their account/ID/password/credit card #/etc. with a URL made up to look like the real site. The victim inputs his/her info on the form, presses 'submit', and voila...the phisher has another account ID to play with.
