Levelling Fizik Alliante Seat
Hello Everyone,
Bought a new Fizik Alliante saddle and not sure how to level it. The back part of the saddle turns upward so I'm not sure where to use my level. Should I go from tip to midway up the back curve? How do you guys do it?

I leveled mine by eye using the front 2/3 of the saddle as a guide and haven't had to touch it since. The upsweep in back cradles my bum perfectly.

Is that how you did your Aliante? I question only because of the up turned portion of the rear of the seat. Was this part meant to be included in the averaging? This is the part that has me puzzled.

My Alliante has the word Alliante underlined in the nose section of the saddle. Not sure if the new ones do. This line should be level with level ground. Take a piece of paper and tape it so it hugs the line on the saddle. Then take a long level(not a pocket type thingy) and line it up with the paper. This all should be done inside on a level floor. I find that this has the nose up a bit but not so bad that your nads scream for relief, assumming you are male. The sweet spot on the Alliante is awesome but takes some getting used to.

I'd start with the frontmost portion leveled, and then experiement with a couple degrees forward/back until you find what feels the best.

With any saddle, I start by setting it level, or at least what looks to be level, then I take a hex wrench with me and go for a ride. Through trial and error, I tweak it to a position I like.
