Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Where do you draw the line?

I was looking for a bike computer with cadence and a heart rate monitor. I went to the LBS and decided to buy a Polar S725. It cost me $410.00 with cadence and the IR interface. They installed it for free. I see the same unit without the cadence and IR interface for $290.00 on E-Bay. Where do you draw the line with LBS’s?

This is a little deceiving. You have a base unit but also have to buy the cadence and if your computer doesn’t has an IR interface it cost you extra. I don't think it's out of line.

Probably on target as far as price. Nothing is cheap my friend.
