Tektro R750 brakes?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tektro R750 brakes?

Anybody out there running the Tektro R750 carbon road brake calipers? How about the RX40's? Seeking some feed back on these.

the RX40 looks identical to the unlabeled brakes that come on a lot of treks... i believe i have seen the front/rear set of RX40s selling online for $40. for comparison a set of 105 brakes is $49.95 at a few places.

(or $65 for front and rear ultegra 6500)

I have the Tektro RX40's. Actually a great brake. Strong dual pivot brake that weighs about 300 grams. Cheap too. Whats not to like.

Actually sometimes the brake pads they come with are crap. I've purchased a newer bike that came with them though and it looks like they've improved the pads.

I think the no-namers are more likely the heavier 423A's, but either way a good set of Shimano RX100's are far superior, wouldn't you say?

on a test ride on a tcr...it had the r750...I did not see any dif from the rx40s that I have on my Look. The pads are a bit hard so I would recomend new 105 pads or better to be put on the front brake. After I did this I am very, very happy with the rx40's.
