Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sorry Folks, I could'nt help but post them and leave it hanging for a bit.

The original decals were getting hair line cracks in them, as such really were starting to look ugly. I thought I would leave it until I could not stand it any more. I suppose I reached that point the other day.

These were taken last year when they were not that bad, but after this year they were looking pretty jigsaw puzzle like.

I had some decals Herbert of Litespeed sent me to try, although none were the same match as the originals. He did send me a set that are like the Originals, however are Black with yellow outlines. Before trying those I thought I would use newer Litespeed font first, as I like it the most.

Here are the new decals in place. The Decals are smaller, which actually doesn't look half bad, and it does look more modern. I like it on a different level.

I used Acetone to remove the old decals, it was like taking water to sidewalk chalk, it dissolved them right away.

There is something about the Black stripes on the 06 decal kit that reminds me of a mdoel car kit I had as a young boy. Very Cool!

Tom Daniel's Bad Man, I loved that Kit

I just changed my Tuscany decals last week as well. I nicked one on the down tube slightly and like an OCP biker I had to fix it immediately. I went with white this time (they were decals meant for one of their mountain bikes I think). Its fun to spend a few dollars on some new decals and reinvent your bikes color scheme.
As you can see I went with a subtle patriotic theme with red white and blue.

How do you apply the new decals? Is it very difficult?

Nice! I like it. I have scanned the MTB decals as well, One set I really have been thinking about is the Blade, using the smaller decals, and cutting out the Blade portion.

I think your Tuscany is a newer >04 with the bigger diameter down tube, as such you can use the bigger decals. Is this correct?

Anyway, thanks for posting your picture

Not difficult at all, as they just rub on using a credit card or similar. However the most effort is placement, as once placed on the bare metal, they don't really offer too much fiddling around.

I placed alignment marks on my tubes with a sharpie, so once I peeled of the backing, I just aligned the edges of the decal carrier with the sharpie marks, then start rubbing them on.

It's an 05' so its got the bigger diameter down tube. And you are right, placing the decals is really the tricky part. There is really no way to reposition the decal once it touches the metal.

I can appreciate the sentiment, but I'm not a fan of the naked look. It reminds me of a bicycle that's been stolen and stripped of it's decals so it's harder to identify by the cops

Viper I know you are not going to like this but Ti-tillidle's bike is better than yours, LOL!

The sticker thing is kinda cheapo (IMO), its like putting decals on your car so cops can identify it.

Is it possible to take off what says ZIPP on those rims?
