Road bike decisions
Help!
I'm 14 years old and i'm hoping on doing a marathon for my best friend with diabeties. I need a road bike, but I don't want to spend very much on it. the cheapest one I've found is made by a company called "Specialized" and around $750 which is way to much for me. I would like to find a good condition bike but used for a smaller amount. If you know anything let me know.

If your budget is <$750, you are definitely better off buying something used, but in good condition. Perhaps something from a few years ago with 9-speed gearing. A lot of people are selling those to upgrade to 10-speed drivetrains.
