Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Picked up my first road bike today, a Lemond Reno. I love this bike and I am looking forward to spending many miles/hours on it. Had my Look A3.1 pedals put on at the shop and they even showed me how to clip in and out! When I got it home I immediately began installing my Cateye Astrale 8 computer, that was a lot harder than it looks, at least for me. I think that I have it all set up correctly, but I am not sure. If it is showing readings does that mean it is set up right? I will get some pics up ASAP!

You will have to set the wheel size to your computer to get correct reading. Congrats on the bike! I too have been looking at a particular Lemond model. But I have done so much to my Trek I just couldn't get what I have in it.

Here are the pics that I promised. I was able to go for a quick ride this morning and I loved it, and yes I did fall in the grass because of those stupid clipless pedals! Hopefully that was the first and last time.

And yes I know, "FLIP IT!" That just seemed like a BUG project for this noob, I will eventually get there!

Nice LeMond you've got there. You'll get used to the pedals in no time, don't worry about it. As to "flip it", don't be hasty, you may want to ride it as is for awhile and adjust it down the road, if at all. You need to condier your core strength, flexibility and riding style when making that decision, not just what someone on bikeforums says it should be. I have two bikes where I've "flipped it" and the balance are set to be more or less upright.
