Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do new Ergos come with housing??

I'm about to order a set a Veloce Ergos from 11speed.com and I don't know if I need to order the Campagnolo cable kit also...In the description of the levers, it says "Includes all cables"...Does this mean housing also, or will I have to buy that seperately?..I'm assuming "all cables" means brake and shifter cables right?..Anyone have to buy housing seperately?..Thanks.

The chorus shifters I bought 4 months ago came with the cable package, which included all the cables, and housings. I don't think it would be different. ask them to be sure?

It's supposed to include the cables, casings and cable stops. On ebay the scam is to strip those parts out and sell the brifters cheaper. Then sell the cables and stops seperately. Good luck

Hey boomer-sooner, if you think of it, once you get your stuff, could you check back and let us know how the transaction went? That's a screamin' deal 11speed.com has on those shifters. I'm sort of curious to know how customs and taxes and shipping goes for you. Thanks.

Cheers.

As with everything else you always get more than one story.

Campy sells a kit over the counter to retail customers that includes the cables. Campy cables inner and outers are the best there are.

However, Campy also sells individual components to wholesalers such as bike builders and some shops. These do NOT include the cable kit.
