Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Helmet for a Fat Head

I have a large melon (7 3/4) and was wondering if anyone makes a helmet that fits nicely for folks like me.
I'm currently using a giro atlas and want to upgrade. Suggestions with pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I have a big melon like you. I ride with two different helmets. The Giro Gila (yellow), and another Giro helmet that I dont know the name of. Both fit great.

I am a 7 3/4 also and wear a large Bell Furio. It fits great. My head shape is more elongated front to back than round I think.

I think a 7 3/4 hat size translates to around a 61-62 cm size. Most large sized helmets would fit that criteria. You should probably go to a LBS and try some on.

my problem is the opposite- i have like the worlds smallest head, for an adult. I tried on CATLIKE helmets and they fit great. I think it's because they're made in spain for skinny little spaniard with little heads. Unfortunately, they're kind of pricey. Why is it always like that?? GAH.
