bianchi serial number query
hey all,
so i have been fixing up an older upper/middle tier bianchi and i was wondering if there might be some folks in the community who could help me figure out around when it was built. i am not looking for specific dates, but more of a general idea of it's age.
here is some info regrading its make-up...
the frame is italian made. the derailers and shifters which are located on the down tube are all Suntour Cyclone. the brake set is Dia-Compe. the crankset, seatpost, stem and handlebars are all SR. the wheels are Araya and the hubs, Suzue. from what i understand, everything is original to the bike, though i cannot confirm this because i am no bianchi expert. lastly for parts, the couplings between the stem and frame and the crankset and bottom bracket are Tange-Ritzy.
decals on the frame include a couple of "Piaggio" stickers on either side of the seat tube not to mention all of the standard bianchi stuff. all decals are gold over the metallic brown paint of the frame.
the frame''s serial number is ds15163 and is printed beneath the bottom bracket...
i think that's everything... any ideas? thanks in advance to anyone who has the patience to respond.
ciao!
