Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is Cannondale a Women Brand?

I was really into Cannondale road bikes for a while until I see many women on the streets ride Cannondales. Does Cannondale directly market their bikes to women? For now, I'll stay away from the brand. BTW, I'm a male college student.

One would think you'd have given the question a bit more thought before posting it given your level of education...

If you value your life, don't tell Chuck Norris what you just said. He rides a Cannondale.

To the OP, the local Cannondale dealer must know what he's doing and is selling a lot of Bikes; to both men, women, and children.

So go ahead and check them out.

Here's the sum of it:

Canondale is known for making some of the lightest aluminum bikes on earth

Women like light

Canondale is a very well known brand...I know people who don't even bike who know about Canondale. Thus that is the brand many people go after.

Add the two up.

Yes I see lots of Women on C-dales, and I as a guy would own one if I wasn't afraid of breaking it somehow.

Get over yourself...if the bike fits, and the paint isn't something outright feminine, then who cares?

Does anyone remember the "Holy crap, I was passed by a girl!" kid? I think it's a trend. I doubt these are real people, but rather just regular forum members creating new user names, so they can write the most infuriating misogynistic posts as to watch the masses go nuts.

Also, while we are on conspiracy theories, has anyone wondered if the US government has been fixing the TdF to keep the media minds off of the war in Iraq?

Just playin’

I've got a C'dale in the fleet. Toughest one of the bunch too (hardtail, mind you). C'dale is one of the 'big three' of domestic bike production. You sell that many bikes and just about anyone may ride it. Heck, consider Trek for a macro version of this. Getting too whipped up on brand names is the patently stupid thing. Get what serves your needs best.

Good. People seeing you on a Cannondale would probably make the women riding them look like men.

BTW, I'm a male college student.
Sorry, you spelled the last 3 words in this sentence incorrectly. For you, it's spelled T-R-O-L-L.

There are two types of bike riders, those that like cannondales and those that don't. I have had three and have loved them. Two of them I owned as a male college student.
Please go buy a taiwanese bike, newbie troll.

Into Cannondales? You liked looking at them until you saw women riding them? What if you see women wearing Giro helmets, no Giro for you? Pretty silly. Tinker Juaerz rides one, and he is a man. Mario Cippolini rode one, too. Oh, I ride one myself and I like riding with women. OOOOOhhhh noooo.

Damiano Cunego and the rest of the Lampre-Caffita team rode Cannondales last year, and HealthNet does now.

And if you didn't see this coming: they're far more manly than you will ever be. Go back to your cave.

P.S. I'm a male college student.

Yes, cannondale's are for chicks. Them and the sissy flyweight italians are the only ones who don't flex the coke can frames too much.

I see chicks driving mustangs. Are mustangs girl cars? Cuz if they are, I won't get one cuz I'm a misogynistic idiot who's secretly insecure about his sexuality and openly critical of Brokeback Mountain in front of my equally small-minded friends, but secretly find myself stealing glances at guys packages in the lockerroom shower. BTW, I'm a male hairdresser practicing for the 2010 olympics in figure skating. But I'm straight!
