Garmin Edge 305 question
Is the mount for this computer strong and secure enough for a mountain bike? It would really suck to buy a $350 system and then have it fly off your stem on rough terrain. I know this is the roadie forum but I would use it on both bikes and it seems that mostly roadies are buying these. Thanks.

I have it on my road and mtn bike. i haven't taken it on any hardcore rides yet, but I feel confident that it is solid.
1. The garmin slides into the mount from the side. Seems to help the potential pop off situation since the greatest force seems to be from front to back.
2. It seems to clip in pretty solid.
3. The edge is quite light. It's not like it has that much mass to force itself out of the mount.
