Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

another bar question

i am looking for new handlebar. I would like to go with a "wing" type. I rode a carbon one on the last club ride (other rider and I switched bikes for a few miles since he wanted to ride my Ibex) and liked it, but I don't want/can't afford a carbon one. What alloy "wing" style bars would you recommend. Again I am on a budget, sub $150 would be great. TIA

Well you can get a CF wing bar on eBay for right around $150 so if you really want you CAN go that way. FSA, Ritchey, Easton all make AL wing bars...all less than $100.

Chucksbikes.com has a couple of carbon bars for around $150. Limited sizes, though.

I saw those, but was looking more for a recommendation from anyone who has actually rode one. Sorry, I should have put that in my original post.

I looked at Chucks. Money is the only one reason I don't want want CF. I don;t know why, but I don't feel safe with CF and since alloy is only a tad bit heavier, I'de like to stick with that.
