Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike Ribbon Gel Pads?

Aynbody use them? I am looking at gel pads, and have pretty well written off the Aztec pads based on all the negative reviews I have read here at BF. So I think that narrows it down to Specialized BarPhat or the Bike Ribbon pads. I just saw them at one of the LBSs, they don't look bad and the price is less than the BarPhat. I also see that they come in two different densities, soft (orange) and firm (green). I see a yellow (medium?) on thier website, but don't see anyone selling it. All opinions, anecdotes and alternate product suggestions greatly appreciated....

My Specialized Allez Elite had the phat bar inserts. They work nicely...but not sure I would spend $35 to put them on my Lemond.
