Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm looking to buy a new frame and the Look 555 has jumped out at me but I can't find much about the frame warranty. Any info would help. Thanks
Chris

It's 1 year on paint, 5 year on structural.

anyone have to deal with Look for a warranty issue? 5 years seems crappy when Time and others are warranting for Lifetime

I had a HSC4 fork warrantied when my LBS discovered that they couldn't get a race down the length of the steerer tube. Within two weeks, I had a brand spanking new HSC 4 SL fork for my new KG486. That's right, a newer, lighter model fork.

Can't go wrong with Look.

How long will you own the bike? They say "lifetime" but bikes at this level are typically not retained by the rider more than five years. And since the warranty only extends to the original owner, while other manufacturers say "lifetime", in the bike biz you rarely see a 20 year old frame coming in for warranty issues.

In the carbon world, given the process that Look uses to make frames, there is a reason why their frames are so expensive.
