Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Very slow air leak

k, this is my last question...I promise As mentioned before I just got some Tufo C S33 Special Tubular Clincher Tires, I had an issue when I had first put them on where the front tire was leaking, I couldn't hear any leaks but only after a few hours of having them pumped up they would be completely flat again. I took off the valve extenders that I got and re-intsalled them and I don't seem to be having the problem anymore...at least not as fast. I came home from work today, about 24 hours after first filling them up and they were at about 80-90psi, when I filled them up yesterday I had filled them up to 120psi. I'm assuming it might be the valve extender again. I'm not having this issue with the rear tire. Anyone have any suggestions or do I need to order a new valve extender?

would it be the tire or the valve now or is it normal to have to fill the tubulars up daily?

All wheels including tubulars benefit from reinflation for every ride if using latex tubes. But as Tufo use butyl-rubber, I wouldn't expect such a drop in pressure overnight... Drop in pressure will be similar to standard clincher if using butyl rubber tubes.

Take the tire off the rim, pump it up, then immerse it in a tub of water. If you have a leak you should see bubbles.
