Cracked frame, what should I sell my Ultegra groupset for?
I have a full 9 speed dbl ultegra groupset that is off my cracked litespeed. The components are in excellent shape. What should I expect to get for the group. Would rather just sell all at once, instead of parting it out. I know not to expect much, but would like a price range. I have one in mind, but would like some other feedback.
Includes everything, cranks, bb, brakes, shifters, cassette, derailers, chain. Thanks,

Time to get a carbon Trek with a frame warranty, eh?
Should just keep the group and throw it on a new frame - 9 speed is better than 10 speed anyway.

I'm guessing $300.00 - $500.00 on E-bay based on the condition and miles. You don't want to just pick up another frame and build it up with the componants you already have?

I would, but I was sucked into a Lemond Zurich from someone at trek for 600. I was interested in carbon spine dealy, its a nice ride and to get into ultegra again for that price, couldnt pass it up.

I thought Litespeeds had lifetime warranties? I know mine did. I seem to remember that they all did (with the possible exception of the Taiwanese carbon and aluminum models, but I think that those had five-year warranties, which should still be in force). Why not get your frame fixed, or a new one for free?

Nikos,
I might be interested in this group for a build I am doing for my girlfriend. PM me with your asking price if you do indeed want to sell it off.

New frame!
Actually, if it were me, I would buy an old or NOS classic steel frame from the 80s. Just make sure that it has 130mm spacing.

Sell it for $10 on ebay and spell Ultegra as Ultekra, that will really bring out the bidders

His bike is a 2002 Litespeed Hyperion and isn't Ti, so there isn't a warranty on it anymore.

I'm sorry, but it's just plain wrong to put new Ultegra on an 80's road frame, unless it's ultra high end. Everything else deserves the far sexier look of the old Sugino, Sakae, and SR cranks...
