Did the math, and it's not possible to beat Pedalforce
For their QS2 frame + DA7800 build kit. I worked out a spreadsheet with the QS2 frame purchased separately, and DA7800 parts from probikekit or ebay sellers in hong kong and singapore. It comes out to around $2650 buying all the stuff separately, but then you'd have to add in the cost of shipping for the DA7800 pieces from Asia, and the cost of shipping for the bar+stem+tape+wheelset+tires separately.
The only way to beat the price is to start going to a lower tier of components, like an Ultegra cassette and Ultegra brakes instead of DA, and maybe cheaper wheels... (Mavic Aksium?)
I like how they will subtract $65 to remove the saddle, since most people already have a favourite saddle that's known to not hurt their ass. The photo on the website is bad (it's the triple crank Ultegra version of the bike), but look at the spec:

So how much does the frame really "cost" if you bought this build kit?

The heaviest parts of the package look like the Stella Azzura aluminum bar and stem. Swapping for a lightweight carbon bar, Thomson X2 stem and wheelset around 1450g might put the bike at exactly 14.97 pounds.

It says they well subtract $330. The package looks like a winner.

They used to have this other frame that Patriot and I speculated was something like a Scott CR-1. Are we talking about the same thing?
