Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

White Bikes

WHy is this not working?

edit:
weird, this actually posted even though I got some weird error. Anyways, i just got a white frame/fork and am trying to decide between going all silver for the parts or all black. Either one could look cool I think.

and yea, I'm obsessing over the looks.

here is my frame...

Not enough white bikes around these days, I reckon! My first "proper" bike was white, and I always try to ensure I have one in my stable

I REALLY like these

By the way:

Do any of you know where to get some replacement white paint for a bike? Or at least know of any methods for covering up a scratch on a white frame? I thought this might be a good place to ask.

Wite-Out works great if you don't ride it in the rain ... otherwise it's "temporary" .

Nail polish is a good way to cover up unwanted scratches!

I had a similar paint job on a frame years ago. Pearl white, red panel labels, but with the red Rolls Saddle and red bar tape. Damn I looked good on that bike

nobody with a white frame/silver components? The lemond is minus the wheels, but the wheels are the main thing I am trying to decide on.

Nice Road Logic. I have been looking for a used Road Logic or even TR Road Classic. I don't want the break away frame.

Early photo of the Gazelle sans bar-tape. Pearl white is getting replaced with a white metalic next year sometime when I have the $ to build this frame up properly along with a complete repaint/decal job.

is it an illusion, or that REALLY laid back, with a long wheelbase?

This was, until a flat on very twisty descent sent it to it's grave, one of my favorite bikes. I love white bikes, white has a nice clean look to it.

this is my cheap "all weather" bike. It's not a Bianchi (I don't know what it is, but it's Dedacciai 7003), but I had it painted, and these were the only stickers I could dig up at the time.
