Cervelo Team Soloist on Decents
How does that baby handle at high speeds? Also, is that bike suitable for 3 hr plus rides or is it a little harsh? Overall, the bike sounds like it does everything well, sprint speed, climbing and long trip comfort. Thanks for the comments.

im doubtful that this is a bike you want to ride for the long haul. Considering it's a road/tt bike, its probablly stiff, and the massive downtube would agree with that as well. I too am considering one, but might just go with a titanium litespeed. Just give it a test ride, that is usally the best way to get bike feel and performance feedback.

there's plenty of reviews here of Soloists. Just do a 'titles only' search in the road forum, and you should find plenty
there are more reviews here, and maybe also check out the reviews for the Soloist 105, coz it's the same frame

I have ridden my Soloist for 6+ hours with no comfort problems. Then again all of my major components are carbon, so they may be absorbing some of the harshness.

I've been on my Soloist for a few over four hour stretches and there was nothing out of the ordinary in terms of comfort. It is not a Cadillac, but it is not a Jeep Wrangler. As for descents, it tracks really nice. Only once have I had any problems and it was a high speed shimmy which seems to have gone away with a new wheelset. I have hit the same patch of asphalt and not had a recurrence (knock on wood). It accelerates on climbs really well, but is not a weight weenies bike, with my coming in at around 18.5 lbs. My R2.5 climbs better, but is almost double the price, weighs less, has a carbon wheelset and full dura-ace, so the comparison is not apples to apples. When I bought my Soloist I test rode quite a few bikes in the same price range, from Lemond, Trek, Bianchi, Kestrel, Scattante and the Soloist was in a class by itself for the price in my opinion. The pros at CSC still occassionally ride it in races instead of the R3 and Carbon Soloist, so it must do some things right.
