Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

shimano shoes and time pedals

ok im trying to buy a pair of shimano road shoes off a guy on ebay who doesnt know his bottom bracket from his elbow (one siezes up afer a long ride, the other after 6 months of long rides). They've got 3 bolt holes in the sole for the cleat to go through but is the plate inside there for them there to screw into or is there a different plate for each cleet type? Im coming into road bikes form mountainbikes and only ever had to deal with one drilling pattern!

cheers for the help
