Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

"arm" bicycles in Potomac MD

Did anyone see a boat load of cyclists out on River Road today?

Some of them were probably tuning up for the Poolesville race next weekend, but it looked like some of them were shielding (from traffic) a fair number of very tough disabled cyclists riding those arm-driven recumbent rigs. (I was sucking wind on the hills with two good legs; I can't even begin to imagine pulling or pushing myself up those grades with my arms).

Anyway, it looked like a cool event.
