My felt weighs 20 lbs
I have a felt f70. With 2 bottle cages computer and conti gp4000's it weighs in at 20 lbs. Ive got some spinergy rev x wheels on the way, other than wheels, what can i do to make it lighter? carbo handlebar? Carbon seat? upgrade the group? is the f70 really worthy or chorus or record components?

Everything can be lighter
Breaks
Brifters
Handle bars
Seat
Seat post
Fork
crank
...everything. If you think about it, the difference between a "heavy" frame and a "pretty light" frame may only be a pound or so (correct me if i'm wrong...)
So where does all that other weight come from? It's not as much the frames fault as some people think.

Wheels generally make the biggest difference if you get a set of really lightweight ones. However, I wouldn't worry too much about bike weight....my 5200 is only 2.5 pounds or so lighter than yours, and once I throw on two 24oz. bottles and my seatpack......actual riding weight is closer to 24 pounds.
Just ride it, and get something nicer in a few years.

It is worthy of whatever you want, its your bike!
Start with a lightweight carbon seatpost (200g). If you just want lightweight and not concerned with carbon, you can check an aluminum post.
Carbon cages if you don't have them will provide minimal weight loss.
Some alloy bars can be really light for a good price (around $100 or more). I have DEDA Newton and they are around 208gr. Check them out as well as Easton.
Stem can also save you weight but it won't be major.
Saddle too if you aren't happy with the way your current one feels.
Really, you can upgrade everything to be lighter. It all depends on how far you want to go and how much money you want to put into this.

just save your money, going on a weight weenie diet will break your bank in a flash, trust me. Save the coin for every upgrade you want, and put it towards a new bike in 12 months, you will be WAY better off. I have done the weight weenie thing on both Mtn and road bikes and in the end I alwasy would have been better off just buying a new bike with better OEM stuff. DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE TEMPTATION.

Wheels are the only thing i would suggest upgrading on a bike. Like said above putting your bike on a diet is a waste of coin. Just rock what you got, idk about everyone else but i can't tell a difference of 2-5lbs on the bike. But if you really want a lighter rig put yourself on a diet if you can.

Simply put, most of us are not good enough to notice a difference.
And as everyone says, the heaviest component of a bike is the rider...lose that weight first
