Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pic of my Roubaix Comp

I just got back into riding after a nearly 20 year layoff (had a Cannondale w/ 105 right after HS), and started with this Roubaix Comp triple I got four weeks ago. I'm trying to average 100 miles a week, though half of it has been on a Cyclops mag trainer due to lack of riding time. I really love this bike. I'm glad I spent a little more than I had originally planned, but I've still caught upgrade-itis, thanks to all the bike porn pics I've seen on this site. I just put on the Look Keo Carbons this week, and I may change the wheels. The Specialized Avatar Gel seat is a great fit for me, which is unfortunate, because it's making it hard to justify a Fizik Arione Carbon! If you're into sports cars, the one in the pic is my other red toy, an '89 328GTB. I've actually put more miles on the Roubaix in the past month that the car has had in the past year!

You don't want the Arione carbon anyway...get the Toupe...cheaper, lighter, and just as comfortable as the Avatar.

Aren't these bikes great? Oh also love the 328

Sweet bikes! I tested a Roubaix yesterday along with a few other bikes at a local Demo Days at a park near my house. The Roubaix was very nice. Not sure which model... it was mostly Ultegra and was primarily grey or silver.

that's the elite. ONly comes in one color. Full ultegra. THe comp is just as nice, but i decided if i was paying that much for a bike I would get the one that I liked the looks of. That silver and black is smooth.

The comp (red & black) has ultegra derailluers I believe and 105 brakes/shifters. A sweet ride as well.

Well I have to agree with you on the cheaper part Chopper, with all the embossing and the fake carbon...

The 328 isn't any cooler than that Trek 5000 you've got! Ever since I saw a pic of your bike on another thread I've been checking Ebay every few days to hopefully find one like it. Just a gorgeous bike!

You're kidding. 1 to two months for an off the peg bike? Me thinks order another bike, get one in store or go to another bike shop.

My above statement is false. It's the Roubaix EXPERT triple that's silver/carbon (black). not the elite. I think the elite comes in blue or something.

sorry if I am out of lines here, but I think if we want to see a stock bike, then we can always see it online or google it,

those bikes memtions above are just the same as these

then, what the point of this topic, also we already have a topic here to show your bike

Same as the stock bike? Did you look at my photo...at all? Ritchey WCS 4 axis stem, Record Ergo levers, derailleurs, and brakes, Pave SL seat post, Toupe saddle, Easton EA70 bars (that wouldn't be picked out), hand built tubular wheels...the only stock parts on my bike are the frame and fork and the crank. FAR cry from stock. If the guy is proud of his bike why can't he post a thread about it...everyone else does.
Oh yea these look just alike...for sure:
