    I (h)ate love bugs

Those pesky exhibitionist insects are now back out in force in my area. They have to be the most vile tasting free protein out there. I injested one (or is that two?) today as well as getting countless ones (twos?) in my helmet and even a pair in my ear. Nasty ... nasty ... nasty ... Yuck ... yuck ... yuck. I guess this is the cosmic payback for having a whole "winter" of nice riding conditions. Us southeastern US riders know what these things are. Everyone else should count their blessings. (The spring wildflowers were spectacular, though. Not a totally yucky ride.)

I prefer eating unflavored barium for an x-ray. Or even vegemite.

We usually see a swarm of them in April but, so far, I haven't seen any this year. (He says as he looks for wood to knock on.)

For me, it's easier to injest insects here:

And just think, they were procreatin' before you injested them! Eww!

    Just like chicken, of course!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "WOW! WHAT A RIDE!"
