Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Training ride incident in Philadelphia

I'm in DC right now, but on one of my list serves I receieved notice that there was a large incident in Philadelphia during a training ride.

This ride is known as "the drives" as it starts from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and goes down Kelly Drive and over the Falls Bridge over to West River Dr and back to the Art Museum, for 3.5 laps.

I'm told the average speed is around 27mph.

Anyway, aparently the person pulling went down and took down about 60 people according to the only news report I see right now.

Anyone from Philly have more info?
