Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice hilly course today. You know it's a steep hill when you are going so slow you have to dismount, only to find your cycling shoes sliding you down the hill.

I just love riding sometimes. On the way home, I kept a very fast pace for a good distance... I could hear Lord Vader whispering to me : "Release your anger!"

Now I need a cheap jersey, anyone know somewhere where I can get a plain black/white jersey for cheap? My stomach has literally ripped this one open. That's why I must keep riding!

I had a similar problem when I was doing some climbing in the Boulder Creek/Felton area in northern cal. There are some downhill switchbacks with grades that (I think) exceed 20%. the first time I road them I freaked out and decided to walk downhill on one. Big mistake! I started to slide around. I felt like such a dork.

Performance will probably have some inexpensive stuff.
