Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seat Tube Dia - Mid 90's Trek ZX Frame??

Anybody know, off the top of their head, what the seat tube diameter was on a mid 90's Trek ZX series (carbon tubes/alum lugs) frame? I'm looking at a front derailleur on Flea-bay and can't remember what size clamp I need. I thought I had written it down here at work, but can't find it now!

Thanks

There are only 40 different seatpost sizes. 3 suggestions. Remove the original and measure it with a micrometer. Measure the ID of the tubing with the post removed with the same device. 2. Take it to a shop that does alot of repair work. They may have a seattube measuring device that you put in the tube until it tight and read the seatpost size. 3rd idea. Call Trek customer service. You might be surprised how helpful some of these evil bike companies and LBS's are.

Piece of cake to figure it out with the bike in front of me - but I was at work and the bike was at home!
BTW - OD of the seat tube is 35.65mm.
