Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My new bike and team kit

Well....I've been working on this build for a while now, and about two weeks ago I finally finished it. The frame is a Scattante Zonal with Carbon seat stays, wheels are Xero XR-1s and the components are Campy Veloce/Centaur. I've put almost 150 miles on it in the first two weeks since finishing it. Definitelty a LOT faster than my 29lb 1981 Nishiki that I've been training on. This weighs in just under 20lbs around 19.5. Thought I would include a some pics of it, and my new WVU Team Kit. I'm joining my college's cycling team (even though I'm a 4th year, I'll be here for another 4 in med school), and hope to start my racing career.

Notice there's no FD in this pic...I ordered a braze-on and needed to buy a clamp for it....It's on there now...I just didn't want to set up another pic...So that's the reason I'm slightly non-OCP and don't have it in the big chainring

Solid! Ride it a lot, then ride it some more..

You have a nice slight build, do you enjoy the hills in WV?
