Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

K2 Bikes?

Hello, I am thinking of buying a new bike, and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the K2 line of bikes. Especially the K2 Mach 1.0. I have seen it on closeout for rather cheap, but according to the salesperson it's a rather new bike company, and there isn't much feedback on it yet.

Anyone have any run ins with a K2?

Same K2 comapny based in Vashon, WA. They also own splading and various other sportwear stuff etc. I have a K2 Mach2.0 with around 1600 miles so far. It's been OK; the back wheel crapped out on me about 100 miles ago but that just gave be an excuse to get rid of the stock crap that it came with. I think the Performance that I got it from built it up a bit better than the K2 specs. (I got a nice Selle Italia saddle with it?). Yeah, good bike for the money

They have been involved with bikes since 1998, at least, when they bought Pro-Flex. I have a 1998 K2 mtb and the frame is solid.
