06 roubaix elite $1450 or 05 allez elite $900

06 roubaix elite $1450 or 05 allez elite $900
I am new to road biking and need a little advice. I am stuck between the 06 roubaix for $1450 or at a much better price the allez elite for $900. What do you guys suggest? I am leaning towards the roubaix because I have broke most of the bones in my body nad they say carbon is better at absorbing the road. The price of the allez is very tempting though. Thanks for your help.

If you get the allex elite you will kick yourself in the face over and over for not spending the slightly more for a much better ride. That kind of an upgrade will cost a LOT more if you invest in the allez elite at first. And you will upgrade, its part of being a road biker. Might as well save in the future with the higher cost up front. And come on, the roubaix is a sweet bike.
