Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I finally broke down last night....

... and bought a TT frame.

Needing a new summer project and not wanting to spend too much money on it, I bought a Leader TT frame. I still have my Klein in a box waiting for me to decide what color to paint it. After looking very carefully at the 780TT with carbon seatstays, I just couldn't justify the cost over the 735TT. So last night I bought and paid for the Leader 735TT. I will now be scrounging for parts to build it. Old parts bins, closeouts, eBay will be the primary sources. Only thing I actually have for the frame is a Cane Creek brakeset that I pulled off of my daughters LeChampion SL, a Cane Creek IS2 headset, a Fisik Poggio saddle and a zero setback Sette carbon seatpost. I am posting their eBay pic here but will replace it with my own once it arrives.

Of course as with every bike build I have done I will try to include details of what I like and don't like, what I would change and finally lots of pictures. Stay tuned.

omg! You bought a bike and it's not from BD? Heresy!

Just kidding, of course. Nice frame, can't wait to see the rest of the build.
