Top <75 mile Portland Rides?
For all you Portland folks out there....
I'll be in Portland w. the soon-to-be Mrs. for three weeks starting this Sunday (7/2), and was hoping some of the locals might disclose a couple of good rides since we'll be bringing the bikes. My buddy from Bike Gallery will probably take me out once or twice, but I'd still like to have an idea of what's out there since he wont be there all of the time. Are there any good scenic routes that stand out? Some of her family is out in Sandy and there are some cool roads back there (showing Mt Hood), but the traffic seems to fly.
Thanks much. I'll be needing to work those Burgerville Fresh Strawberrry Milkshakes somehow.
Chris

Ride Options Portland Oregon
Go to https://www.blueberryrides.com/ & click on maps. a good collection of rides. The classic is the ride to Mulnomah Falls along the Historic Scenic Hwy.
My Favorite is in Vancouver going to Washougla River Rd.
Part 1 : https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=108035
Part 2 : https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=108052
Also Lacams Lake Ride is fun: https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=108016
A longer ride in Vancouver is:
https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=206109
Except for the Southern East West Leg, you can follow the Henry Ride Marks on the road.

I just noticed the Sandy Connection. The Barlow Trail ride was this weekend & goes right by Sandy. This map starts in SE Portland.

Those fresh stawberry shakes are something special. No wonder I can't lose any weight.

Do you have a map of that route? I haven't ridden any of the BF Portland rides yet but I'm in if it comes together. Sat the 8th would work great for me too but I can stay flexible (there is always time for riding).

++1 A really well lead group of strong, friendly riders who have some really nice routes. There are three groups of riders so you can always find someone to ride with at your level. The Saturday Signature Ride is +/-50 miles on the west side thru a mix of forest and farmland, sometimes flat and fast sometimes a hill fest. If you are looking for climbing the climb max ride on Monday is a great ride, I can only do it on long weekends because I have to work.

Thanks for all the input, it's much appreciated.
I'd totally be down for a ride on the 8th -- except that I'll be getting married that day -- coincidentally enough over at St Agatha's in Sellwood.
We're driving up to BC for a week or so after the wedding and then headed back into Portland for a few days before heading home to San Jose.
Again, thanks and maybe I can jump in on a ride if it doesnt get too hectic (hopefully I can hang.)
