Cycling Self Portrait while riding...
I love both cycling and photography so I decided to combine the two. Here is the first one... what do you think?

Happy riding.

Always love to see a fellow photographer.
I'd love to bring a camera along on my rides but i find it hard to lug around a 1D...believe me i've tried.
Do you have a P&S for this purpose by chance? I'm thinking of going that route.

Hey, as a fellow photographer I say, "cool idea", and I like the shot. Perhaps you can use PS to clone out your leg hair

hello
I like the fact the some of these new generation of point n shoot digicams are finally coming out with <28mm equiv. wide angle lenses, whether they be fixed or incorporated in a short zoom. This makes for more creative bike shots. I'm looking to purchase the tiny new Panasonic FX01 with a nice Leica lens for my cycling outings...

Neat shot. I like biking self portraits.
Here's a submission of my own. In 2003, I was climbing the east side of Monitor Pass in the early morning hours, on a very long ride from Markleeville to Sonora. The long shadows I cast on on the pavement and the colors of the scrub and trees caught my interest. Pull out the 1.3 Mp Olympus camera, point in the general direction, click.
The messed up angle gives an interesting effect.
That was a fun trip. It was the very first group tour my wife and I organized, and we dubbed it the Kiss of Death. It was truly epic. Out of 9 riders, 3 completed it without being sagged. Little did we know that our humble Kiss of Death would grow into the flagship event on our bike touring calendar.

This was taken several weeks ago.... the legs are NOW shaven...
I have two cameras, Nikon D70s and a Coolpix 5400. I take the coolpix with me riding. It is a great camera for wide angle and zoom. The only drawback is the lens cap and having to take it off and putting it back on. I'm looking at the Canon A620 as an alternative. Great camera and just over $200. That one is my recommendation.
I've got some more images I will post later.

Man you guys have some good shots from the bike. I am a photographer and still think I will hurt myself really bad if I get the camera out there while riding .
