DBR Podium 1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Diamondback Podium 1.0 is a REALLY nice bike. It was built, what, about 5 years ago. It is good for beginners OR experts. A friend who always had custom bikes bought one as a beater and ended up riding it all the time.

If you have the scratch, step up to the Podium 2. A 9-speed Tiagra/105 mix will make it easier to upgrade in the future and clipless pedals are included in the deal. I have been totally happy with mine and do not regret the choice.

When I was looking for Bikes I saw a few they looked like a great bike, Also read a review of the higher end Podium in a bike mag and they seemed to agree it was a solid bike for the money. I never got to ride one. DBR used to be a big name in bikes, but they have since lost some status. When I was small Their Dimondback BMX bikes were all the rage.
