Hey--
I am a new member, but wanted to try to see who is out there in my age group. I started cycling a year ago, and have seen a wide range of people. I am looking to get to know more people that can be cycling friends and social friends! I am 27, live in Orange County, am off teaching for the summer, looking to try new routes ..

Perfect timing Kasey! If you're up for a ride on Sunday, we have one going here in Orange County. 
This is a great group to ride with, I just started cycling in May and I did a ride from Irvine to Solana Beach with them on Saturday and they were all wonderful...well, all except for volmtan, you have to watch out for that one 
BTW...I just turned 30 and my friend and I have been doing early morning rides in OC during the week. You're welcome to join us sometime.

Kasey, welcome to the forums. I'd second Brandy's suggestion that you try to join our ride this Sunday. (ride thread) Since you ask, I'm 27, with one year's cycling experience. I'm a grad student in San Diego near UCSD, but I do try to join quite a few of the OC-area rides organized on this forum.

Yes, if you can make it, you should join us on Sunday's ride! I've been riding for just a couple of months now. Have been riding regularly with Brandy in the early AM to avoid the heat!

I say go on that group ride. I'm 31. I met two very cool early thirties riders on a group ride early this season and we've been friends ever since. In fact, we just did a brevet populaire together as a sort of three-person team. Group rides are a nice way to make bike friends!

Oh goodness
So I am gone for 4 hours and look what happens! 23 replies.... LOL... And no- the server won't be able to handle this new dating service that has begun...... But- so far the only available females on this service are me.... oh darn, I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo upset .. Honestly- this sport needs more young women.
Nah-- but --- I was going to go to vegas this weekend, but have decided to wait until next weekend.. how can I pass up meeting so many great people? So YES!! count me in for Sunday. I will be there with bells on.
