Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Water in frame. Just wait?

I got caught in some rain today and got some water in the bike frame. Once I got back home I wiped the bike down and took the seat post off to drain as much water from the inside as possible. It is an aluminum frame. Is there anything else that I should do? Or is it something that will take care of itself.

Wait for the bike to dry, find the venting holes in the frame, plug them with epoxy.

No worries. You ride in the rain, you're gonna get some water in your bike. No matter how many holes you plug. Wiping it down and draining it is all you need to do.

alumium doesnt rust so dont worry about the rain, just take the seat post off and heave the bike out in the sun for the day if your really concerned. Oh yea, turn the bike upside down and pour the water out. haha

I always drill a small hole in the bottom bracket of my frames to drain water when I build up a bike, haven't tried it with CF yet
