Holes in shorts
I lost some weight and decided to buy some new shorts--mediums fit fine now rather than larges. All of a sudden, I am wearing holes in the legs where my leg hits the bag under the seats. What gives? I haven't changed bags or bike positions. I treated myself to expensive shorts--two different kinds, and they both got holes in a matter of days. I don't want to throw the shorts away, they are still fine exept for the holes, which are fairly small--1/2 inch diameter. Any one else have the issue? Don't suggest getting rid of bags or trying new ones. Tried new ones and they were worse, and I hate carrying the tubes, etc., in the back pockets.

I'd just use black cloth ducting tape to cover the holes if you don't want to get rid of the bag.

Did you lose the weight by cycling more. My legs bulk up when I do that and they start rubbing on the top tube and anything on it. Also they rub against each other while I am walking. Is the term thunder thighs still used? So you don't want to consider removing those bags. Fine, leave them - empty. Then put your stuff in a seat bag or handlebar bag.
