Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

shimano 10spd cassette on campy drivetrain?

Is it true that a Shimano 10spd cassette will work on a Campy 10spd drivetrain because of the spacing? If so why do they even bother having the conversion cassettes?

i think it was more of an issue with 9 speed, i have heard and was talking to someone riding last week that was riding on a DA 10 speed cassette with full record and he said the shifting was the same as when he used a campy cassette. He was running a powertap.
