Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Campy 10s chain - Connex Link compatability

Is anyone running this combo? LBS said not to worry but I might feel the presence of the link.

Yes, a 10s Connex link works just fine with the standard C10 chain. I use them on all my bikes.

Works fine for me. Thousands of miles on the Connex and no complains.

You can also use the KMC 'Missing Link', 6.2mm version, for the standard C10 chain. I suspect the new ultra-narrow Campy chains would be compatable with the various quick links made for Shimano 10 spd. (5.9mm ?).

I have the same question. what is the easiest way to get my 10-sp chorus chain on the bike?
- get a chain pin? how much? a whole chain pin assembly with some links is $23
- use this connex thing. What is it? how much?
- can I use shimano 10-sp or wipperman 10-sp? chorus is 5.9mm

I've been using the connex links with Wipperman and KMC chains with no problem. IMHO connex link (or other similar products) are the only solution for fast chain removal and cleaning.

You will need a chain breaker to remove your Chorus chain. I believe any chain breaker should work to remove a Campy chain although I would not recommend using a non-Campy tool to reinstall the pin in the chain (I tried and broke a chain during a ride).

Here is a link showing the connex connector link
