Brothers of the path
Hello everyone.
It's been 11 years since I last biked through a city. I've been in prison for something terrible that I did and will forever suffer the consequences. We just recently got limited internet access for those of us that are on good behavior programs and are serving life sentences. Reading up on road biking and how communities have sprung forth has just given me such stimulation and a million pleasant memories have come back.
I used to cross-country bike, and still recall fondly the universal smell of tire rubber.. the anticipation of crossing a new state line and being overwhelmed with the scenery. My pals riding aside me, the smell of their sweat - I could SMELL the miles on my brothers. From Norfolk to Dallas, I've probably biked thousands of miles in hundreds of cities.. some that are no longer beautiful, some that many of you are probably still riding through today.
There is nothing like the freedom of an open road and having everything you need to survive in a fanny pack. There were journeys when I was atop the world, a king amoung men. I could save the world wit..
My time is up, so I'm not going to get to finish this. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and thanks for sharing your information and stories. If any of you would like to write me I could provide my address and would appreciate also pictures of yourself.

Why don't you share some of your happier cycling memories with us? I'm sure others have ridden on the same roads with stories of their own to share. Good luck
