Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ebay scam =/

Sorry if this is a repost, but I was just on ebay and almost fell for an attempt at account phishing. Check out, but don't type anything at, the "bike spec" link in all of these auctions.

https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZsoon2bhinkleQQhtZ-1

I have a habit of opening links to new tabs/windows and coming back later to check things out... and almost came back to fall into the trap. I've reported this to eBay, but maybe with some extra help from this forum, we can get it taken off faster.

Yep, good catch. That "bike spec" link goes to this address:
https://doidjsdkfsijfdokdofksdkfdfsiu...0x.com/yes.htm
Hmmm, for some reason, I don't think that's a legit eBay page.

(Please don't enter your id/pw on that link! - as the OP states - it's a phishing scam)

The other weird thing that caught my attention is that all the auction titles mention a BIN, but there isn't actually one in the auction itself. My first thought, earlier, when I pulled up the auction and saw the seller rating was 'scam.' ... turns out I was right *sigh*.

All the auctions are gone now. I am pretty sure this is a case where someones eBay ID was stolen and then used to set up the bogus auctions and eBay page to steal more identities. The Seller previously was only a buyer and seems to have only bought items like jewelry and plates, etc.

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 for antivirus/firewall protection and it marks the site as a phishing site and asks if I want to load the page. Cool.
