Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Had a horrible ride yesterday...

I think it was diet related though. My Mom and her husband were out visiting and I ate like crap for about 2 weeks. I've been commuting by bike while they were here (as usual) but haven't really been riding much on the weekend. Sucks too because I have a century ride coming up next Saturday.

Anyway, they left Saturday morning and I did a 20 mile ride on Sunday but felt horrible the entire time. I went out today and did 30 miles and felt great the entire time though. I think it's because I was eating horribly and drinking a bit more...My Mom is a bad influence on me I guess.

No booze for me this week and I'm back to eating better and riding more.
