Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ocr1 or synapse 4 ??

i'm looking to get my first road bike and i can't decide between the giant ocr1 and synapse 4. i like the ride of the synapse 4 a tiny tiny tiny bit more but i'm having a hard time justifying the extra $150 and the step down from full 105. i've read contradicting views on whether you should buy a frame or quality components. is the cannondale frame worth the extra money and the step down to tiagra/105 mixed from full 105 on the ocr1?

the prices i've got on these models are $899 for the '06 ocr1 and $1050 on the '06 synapse 4 including pedals.
